The report summarizes the procedures for conducting the first National Science Conference devoted to State and local science activities,and highlights the results of the conference. The principal goal of the Conference was to stimulate a broad awareness and better understanding of the critical problems and vast opportunities associated with the application of science and technology to state government and related public affairs.
