A Study of Underground Mine Heat Sources. 2. Evaluating Underground Heat Sources in Deep Mines.

摘要

The following heat sources are considered:Wall-rock,ground water,adiabatic compressions,equipment,service lines,blasting,metabolism,curing of cement,and oxidation of sulfides and timber. Mine records were examined,wall-rock temperatures were measured and a survey of the mine ventilating air and mine drainage was performed. Also,the thermal conductivity of wet and dry specimens of the host rock were measured in the laboratory.
