Final progress report covering 14 years of work on intersititial lung disease is presented. Topics include serology, antigens, sources, lung biopsies, evaluation of the humoral immune system, cellular immune response, public education, basic studies in bacteriology and serology, antigen isolation, gel filtration and cross-linked dextran columns, ammonium sulfate fractionation, ethanol and trichloracetic acid precipitations, affinity chromatography, preparative polyacrylamide electrophoresis, evaluation of double diffusion techniques for the routine clinical screening test, studies on phagocytosis of actinomycetes spores by alveolar macrophages, and epidemiologic, histopathologic and animal studies.
