摘要

Antimycine has been used as a piscicide for a decade. It is effective in very minute concentration (0.5 to 10 micrograms/liter) against all life stages of fish, but with a wide range of specificity between certain species. Thus, it can be used in selective, partial, or spot treatments. Other desirable characteristics of antimycin include irreversible action, nonrepellency to target fish, lack of color and odor in water, and rapid natural degradation. If needed, it can be detoxified easily by potassium permanganate or chlorine and removed by activated carbon. The activity of antimycin is impaired significantly by high pH and to a lesser extent by low temperature. Piscicidal concentrations of antimycin are relatively harmless to other aquatic life, waterfowl, and mammals.
