Field Study of a Predeflected Steel-Concrete Composite Bridge.

摘要

Field tests were conducted on a skewed simple-span bridge to evaluate existing design standards for predeflected ('Preflex') steel-concrete composite beams. The test program consisted of midspan vertical displacement (deflection) measurements of these beams under initial and long-term dead loads,and visual inspection of the concrete for crack development. The results of 2years of observations are presented and compared to theoretical values. These results show that the structure's initial and long-term performance has been satisfactory.
