摘要

The workshop was held to evaluate the impact of over a decade of activities in the field of Interactive Computer Graphics on automating engineering and architectural design. The aim of the workshop was to outline research topics in the area of Interactive Computer Graphics as it relates to the automation of design. This report includes a review of the state-of-the-art of interactive computer graphics and design. A summary of existing hardware technology and current software concepts are included. Problems of man-machine interface are outlined. A broad assortment of existing applications of computer graphics in design are depicted also. (Modified author abstract)
