摘要

A random sampling and testing program was undertaken on two construction projects to investigate the quality of the concrete and to determine the parameters necessary to implement statistical acceptance specifications. On one project compressive strength tests were performed using two accelerated curing methods:Warm Water Method and Autogeneous Method. The quality of the concrete was found to be satisfactory,except that variability in the slump and air content was very high. The Autogeneous Method was found to be better than the Warm Water Method or standard seven day test for measuring strength and variability in strength. The Autogeneous Method has the decided advantage of requiring less men and testing equipment than the Warm Water Method. The only requirements necessary for implementing the Autogeneous Method are suitable containers and trained personnel.
