摘要

The effect of the thermodynamic properties of working fluids on the performance of a solar powered heat pump has been analyzed. Cycle and overall efficiencies have been calculated for approximately 35halocarbons and other substances. The fluids are classified by boiling points and results are tabulated for operation both in cooling and heating modes. Plots are also presented indicating the variation of efficiencies with the maximum temperature,degree of regeneration,and condenser and evaporator temperatures. Of the fluids considered, R-11, R-113, R-132b, R-142, R113/152and toluene have the highest overall efficiencies for a single fluid system operating at an upper temperature of 180F.
