For each State and county and for groups of metropolitan and nonmetropolitan counties, this report provides figures on the number of persons enrolled under Medicare as of July 1, 1972 and the amounts reimbursed during calendar year 1972 to, or on behalf of these insured. The presentation of these data is further subdivided into the two types of coverage available under the program--hospital insurance and supplementary medical insurance.
