Coastal Area Information System for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection: A Feasibility Study

摘要

The Department of Environmental Protection is charged by both state law (thereafter called CAFRA) and Federal law with overseeing economic development in the New Jersey coastal area. At the beginning of this study it was not apparent that this proposition of methodology would be so central to our work. It was believed, perhaps naively, that since the information requirements deducible from CAFRA only sketch the general structure of a system, the detailed program for a system would become evident in the daily activities of DEP planning and review agencies.
