摘要

The second year of operation of the VTE/MSF Test Bed Plant at Freeport confirmed the overall operability of the coupled plant. The following parameters affecting heat transfer coefficients in the doubly-fluted VTE tubes were investigated:temperature,heat flux,brine feed thermal quality,liquid loading,steam quality,venting. The performance of the MSF enhanced surface tubes was evaluated. Fouling resistances were determined for both VTE and MSF,and recommended valves were given for future designs. Several methods of cleaning heat transfer surfaces in the VTE/MSF were employed.
