Foam Suppression of Respirable Coal Dust.

摘要

This research program was conducted to determine if respirable coal dust emanating from a continuous-mining machine can be suppressed more effectively by a high-expansion foam than by the water sprays conventionally used. A high-expansion foam system was developed and tested on a continuous-mining machine under actual operation conditions. The utility of the system was demonstrated.
