摘要

The results of experiments on eighteen (18) calves are presented. Both normal calves and other animals with induced left ventricular failure were evaluated. Development of an 80ml Model X pump was carried out. The inflow tube diameter was increased to a 24mm diameter to improve pump filling. Disc valve housings were modified to eliminate disc notching. A pneumatic-hydraulic pumping system was evaluated in vivo for 45days. A follow-on electric hydraulic pumping system was evaluated,in vivo,for 72hours. In vitro evaluations of the pneumatic-hydraulic and electric-hydraulic pumping system was carried out.
