摘要

The manual describes the use of a linear model of ammonia production which was developed as an aid to studying the economic impact of proposed effluent policies on the ammonia industry. Presented in this manual is a brief description of the model and its solution algorithm,details of data input and model operation,plus examples of model use illustrating the way policy evaluations are executed. Appendices are included which provide detailed description of the model plus samples of the computer output. The modeled complex is assumed to be of new construction and includes a steam-reforming process ammonia plant together with the necessary facilities to generate all required electrical,mechanical,and heat energy needs of the complex. Additionally,the model contains the necessary processes to treat and dispose of all waste streams generated by the production process,the energy system,or waste treatment facility.
