Development of Test Items for the Entry-Level Social Worker Class in Selected State and Local Jurisdictions

This report describes the development of a transportable set of test items for the entry-level social worker classification in State and local jurisdictions. The classification studied does not require a major in social work but rather a generalized B.A. degree or equivalent experience. Test items were written by job incumbents and supervisors to reflect the knowledges, skills, abilities, and other worker characteristics identified by the job element technique of job analysis.
