General Revenue Sharing: Final Data Elements, Entitlement Period 6

The Office of Revenue Sharing uses data collected by the Bureau of Census on population, per capita income, adjusted taxes, and intergovernmental transfers. The data, compiled for each state and local unit of government, is used in the allocation formula which was established by the general revenue sharing law (P.L. 92-512, the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972) to determine amounts of funds to be distributed to qualified recipient local and state governments. The document lists data for all of the local and state governments eligible for general revenue sharing during the specified entitlement period.
