This volume is one of the products of the Baseline Studies Program and the Coastal Zone Environmental Studies Program. Mathematical Sciences Northwest, Inc., was contracted on May 17, 1976 to complete a six month analysis of available information to determine critical areas for 208 significant marine and estuarine species. In addition to the review and analysis of available data, and the assessment of critical areas for each species, the study results were used to identify data gaps and suggest specific studies for collecting the necessary data.
