On May 27and 28, 1975,The MITRE Corporation held a workshop addressing the quantitative environmental comparison of coal and nuclear electrical generation. The agenda was planned to summarize the risks arising from the various elements of the coal and nuclear fuel cycles and to assess the economic and environmental consequences associated with electrical generation. This document summarizes the presentations,comments,and discussions at the workshop.
