Research Evaluation of Performance Requirements for Metallic Orthopedic Implants.

摘要

A research evaluation of performance requirements for metallic orthopedic implants covered a comprehensive review of related literature from 1960to 1974and the test and evaluation of groups of successful,failed and unusual metallic implants. A total of 105used and 75new implants were obtained and evaluated. Individual summaries of retrieval and analysis of the implants is presented along with specific and detailed recommendations for improving the safety and effectiveness of orthopedic implants.
