摘要

A detailed methodology for the assessment of thermodynamic and economic efficiency of combined dry-wet mechanical draft cooling towers for large electric power plants is developed. Operating costs are considered along with capital costs in the economic analysis. The application of the methodology is demonstrated for wet cooling towers as well as three different configurations of combined dry-wet towers.
