This metric guide was prepared by a subcommittee of the E&R Center Metric Committee. It is intended for interim use by Bureau of Reclamation employees during the transition to application of the International System of Units (SI). As more information becomes available and as experience is gained in the use of SI units, a final Metric Manual will be prepared. The listed conversion factors have been rounded in many cases, but should be sufficient for practically all applications. For approximate calculations, the listed conversion factor should be applied, followed by rounding of the resultant.
