Perspective on Use of Fresh Water for Cooling Systems of Thermoelectric Powerplants in Florida.

This report considers the cooling-water requirement for 3types of cooling systems generally used in Florida:cooling ponds,evaporative cooling towers,and once-through cooling. A distinction is made between the quantity of water withdrawn from a water supply for cooling purposes and the quantity of water that is consumed as a result of the cooling process.
