The volume is the third in a series of background information on standards of performance for electric submerged arc furnaces for production of ferroalloys. The volume contains: (1) supplemental information on the basis for the mass standards of performance, (2) a summary of the issues on the proposed standards and EPA's responses,and (3) a reevaluation of the opacity standard with regard to recent revisions to the opacity method.
