Off-Line Development and Testing of a Minicomputer Process Control Program for an Industrial Grinding Circuit,

A dynamic simulation for testing a minicomputer-controlled industrial rod and ball grinding circuit is described. Provision is made for debugging and testing the software separate from the actual hardware of the grinding circuit. A mathematical model for the entire process system and a communication simulation package for connection to the system is described. The arrangement described allows individual testing of the various components of the system allowing a saving of time. The report outlines the steps in the system development and testing and the results obtained.
