Relationship of Stump Diameter to Diameter at Breast Height for Seven Tree Species in Arizona and New Mexico

The report presents equations and tables for estimating diameter at breast height from stump diameter for ponderosa pine ('yellow' and 'blackjack' pine separately), Douglas-fir, aspen, white fir, southwestern white pine, and from combined data for Engelmann spruce and crockbark fir. The basic data came from five National Forests in Arizona and New Mexico, and were analyzed using weighted least squares regression techniques.
