摘要

A quantitative study of rate of sewage sludge decomposition in soil was made,with emphasis on the effect of soil moisture content and soil temperature on rate of release of CO2, NH4,and NO3. Sewage sludge was found to contain two families of organic compounds,one group which decomposed rapidly and one group that resisted decomposition. The half life of sewage sludge in soil was found to vary with the amount of sewage sludge added to soil. A model describing the decomposition of sewage sludge in soil was prepared.
