Implementation of Non-Structural Alternatives in Flood Damage Abatement. Proceedings of a Conference on Information and Research Needs Held in Durham, N.H. on May 24-25, 1976,

Four state-of-the-art papers in the plenary session of the conference reflect the current status of non-structural implementation and provide a current assessment of informational and research needs to facilitate their implementation. Presentations and discussions in three concurrent workshops consider informational and research needs as related to: (1) flood insurance and rehabilitation programs, (2) land management alternatives,and (3) local implementation.
