Assessment of the Medical Potential of Ultrasound Transaxial Tomography by Reconstruction.

摘要

Ultrasound Transmission Tomography of Attenuation by Reconstruction (UTTAR),Ultrasound Transmission Tomography of Velocity by Reconstruction (UTTVR) and complimentary pulse-echo imaging are being investigated to improve medical imaging and in-vivo tissue characterization. Emphasis currently is being placed on breast imaging,and a complete scanning system,electronics and software are under development for this purpose. Some effort will be given to continued investigation of UTTR imaging of planes containing bones. Supporting investigations of phase diffusers,focused beam patterns and phantoms are in progress.
