Production of Arbovirus Reference Reagents.

A contract was negotiated between the Viral and Rickettsial Disease Laboratory,California State Department of Health,and the Research Resources Branch,National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,covering the period April 22, 1968through September 30, 1975,to produce,test,have certified,and mail to the specified repositories 14bulk arbovirus Seed Virus Reagents (SVR) and 18bulk arbovirus Immune Mouse Ascitic Fluids (IMAF) and Control Ascitic Fluids (CAF),to be used as Research Reagents by the Research Resources Branch. The SVR were prepared,tested and mailed,using specified strains of the following viruses: Bocas, Bussuquara, Dengue 1, Dengue 4,lymphocytic choriomeningitis, Mucambo, Piry,Rio Bravo,Russian spring-summer encephalitis,St. Louis encephalitis, Tembusu,Venezuelan equine encephalitis,West Nile,and yellow fever.
