Environmental Impacts of Proposed Alaska Gas Transportation Corridors. A Report to the President by the Council on Environmental Quality

Since the discovery of large oil and natural gas reserves in the Prudhoe Bay fields in Alaska, several routes have been proposed to transport the gas to the lower 48 states. A North Slope/MacKenzie Valley corridor, an Alaska LNG route, and the Fairbanks Alternative corridor. All three corridors were analyzed in the environmental impact statement process of the Department of the Interior and the Federal Power Commission.
