Coping with Uncertainty--A Conceptual Approach for Timber Management Planning

Timber management planning is usually done with implicit recognition of risk and uncertainty about future events. This recognition is acknowledged by following strategies such as frequent replanning maintaining options. In this paper, the authors discuss various approaches to decision-making that explicitly recognize risk and uncertainty, and present one such approach to timber management planning.
