Pilot Study Designed to Test Effectiveness of Smoke Detection Devices in Private Dwellings

This is the final report of a pilot research project which was designed to investigate factors related to fire hazard awareness and fire prevention measures of families in private dwellings. More specifically, the major focus of the study dealt with the effectiveness of smoke detectors plus the attitude, beliefs, and behavior patterns associated with their use.
