Papers given at this conference considered the problem of acute management of spinal cord injuries. In particular, closed injuries of cervical, dorsal, and dorsilumbar spine and spinal cord were discussed. In addition, papers on open injuries of the spine and spinal cord, and acute management of associated injuries in spinal cord injured patients were presented.
