National Study of Social Services to Children and Their Families. Overview

Who are the children receiving social services. Why have they been referred to social service agencies. What social services are they and their families receiving. These are the questions the United States Children's Bureau sought to answer through a comprehensive national survey in which data were collected for one out of every two hundred children receiving services. The information obtained in the survey will serve as the basis for critical policy decisions designed to improve the child welfare delivery system. This overview report presents some of the highlights of the national survey.
