Late Woodland Occupations in the Upper Delaware Valley. Final Report 1974 Investigations at the Bell-BrowiZipser Lower Field, Beisler, Heater I and Heater V Sites

The focus of the 1974 excavations was to sample three sites which were previously excavated by the New Jersey State Museum. Those sites were selected because preliminary studies indicated that they demonstrated characteristics which were required for our goal of differentiating distinct Late Woodland occupations, based upon ceramics, at multi-component sites. The three sites are representative of the range of Late Woodland occupation thus far encountered in the Upper Delaware Valley.
