Aid to Families with Dependent Children. 1977 Recipient Characteristics Study (Alaska)

In March 1977, the Office of planning and Research, Research and Statistics Section in conjunction with the Division of Public Assistance conducted a research study of AFDC recipients in Alaska. The study covered March 1977. Unless it was otherwise specified, the questions on the schedules were answered to reflect the status of the case during the study month. The completed study schedules were packaged and sent to the National Center for Social Statistics. The National Center processed the data on the schedules and tabulated the statistical information. Upon completion of the data processing and statistical tabulation phases, the National Center for Social Statistics provided each state with their individual statistical tabulations for each item on the study schedule. It is from this information that this publication is compiled.
