A Better Way for the Department of Agriculture to Inspect Meat and Poultry Processing Plants.

The report discusses the Department of Agriculture's practice of inspecting most meat and poultry processing plants daily,even though an inspector may only spend a few hours each day at some plants. This review was made to determine if the Department's inspection resources could be used more efficiently and effectively if inspection frequency was tailored to the inspection needs of individual plants.
