Vegetative Indicators, Soils, Overstory Canopy, and Natural Regeneration after Partial Cutting on the Dead Indian Plateau of Southwestern Oregon

Natural regeneration in partially cut stands on the Dead Indian Plateau east of Ashland, varies with soil nitrogen, overstory canopy, and associated vegetation. Overstory canopy and associated vegetation were used to calculate a predictive equation to identify problem areas before logging. Management recommendations are listed.
