This appendix to a document on the Park Maintenance Management System (PMMS), an automated system useful for scheduling, controlling, coordinating, budgeting, and planning park maintenance functions, explains the sharing algorithm model. The sharing algorithm mathematical model, also called optimal resource allocation, is central to PMMS; it uses data on past work achievement, resource limitation, and job priorities to project optimal work schedules for both short - term and long - term planning. The model uses nine different but interrelated sets of information as follows: calendar, resources, jobs, job components, resource - job component links, standards, trade offs, locations, and time estimates. This appendix is written for persons with at least a Master's degree in operational research with a knowledge of network flow theory. Tables, charts, and flowcharts are provided.
