Review of Legal Literature Published between July, 1974 and July, 1978 Pertaining to Alcohol and Drug Involvement in Highway Safety

The author provides a review of the legal and law related literature which was published between July, 1974 and July, 1978. It includes a review of articles published in American and Foreign English language journals and periodicals, as well as a review of nine books. The first part of the review is separated into five categories which the authors also set forth a rationale for each. These cover the following: (1) Legal issues arising under drunk driving laws; (2) Special sanctions under such laws; (3) Tort liability and drunk driving; (4) Field studies under drunk driving laws; and, (5) Law in Foreign jurisdictions. The review includes a list of books and articles used by the authors, as well as Appendices with British and Canadian statutes appropriate to the subject.
