Portable Vacuum X-Ray Spectrometer Instrument for On-site Analysis of Airborne Particulate Sulfur and Other Elements.

摘要

A portable vacuum wavelength-dispersive x-ray analyzer has been constructed for on-site measurement of the sulfur content of filter-deposited airborne particles. Although designed to analyze for sulfur,the spectrometer is adjustable over a limited range providing the potential for determining other elements. With the x-ray tube rated at 50watts,the instrument achieves a 100-second 3sigma detection limit for sulfur of better than 0.5microgram/sq cm.
