Interment Allowance for Deceased Active Duty Personnel

The Directive reissues DoD Directive 1344.8, September 14, 1968, to update the established requirement for the periodic review of interment allowances to assure that survivors of active duty personnel are provided a reasonable and adequate monetary allowance to cover interment expenses on a uniform basis.
