Northeast Labor-Management Conference on Issues in Urban Transit Held at Harrison Conference Center, Glen Cove, New York on April 18-20, 1979

The report summarizes the four topics that were discussed at the conference and that were originally selected by an advisory committee consisting of union and management, namely: (1) new UMTA programs; (2) paratransit; (3) shop floor labor-management relations; and (4) part-time employment. For each topic a summary is provided for the problems cited by the participants, the recommendations for solving these problems, and specific suggestions for UMTA policy and program development.
