This book discusses contemporary fundamental theories and the prevailing techniques and practices followed in biogeochemical prospecting for ore deposits. It includes data on methods of studying natural phenomena related to concentration of indicator elements of mineralization by plants growing on ore deposits, on the general biochemistry and geochemistry of the main indicator elements of ore deposits, and on the peculiarities of formation of biochemical anomalies around ores. It contains examples of biogeochemical research, gives practical recommendations on biogeochemical prospecting methods and indicates some approaches to improve prospecting of ore deposits, including development of the new principal 'contactless' aerobiogeochemical methods.
