Longitudinal Forces on Bridge Bearings.

摘要

Model tests were performed to determine the distribution of longitudinal force to fixed and expansion bridge bearings. Because of errors in the calibration system and variability of friction coefficients,an experimentally verified design procedure for distribution of longitudinal force could not be developed. The report discusses the experimental variables considered,test program,errors in the calibration system,and presents a theory for longitudinal force distribution.
