摘要

Strobic acid--a major component of the cortical oleoresin of most eastern white pines--was positively correlated with rate and extent of oleoresin crystallization. Oleoresin with less than 5 percent strobic acid did not crystallize. Crystallization was positively or negatively correlated with three other resin acids but was not consistently related to any of eight monoterpenes.
