Results are summarized of two groups of test borings,one group of 11made in Section C010a near the King Street Station and the other of five borings at the parking lot of Huntington Station of C010d of the Washington Metropolitan Area Metro System. Both exploration programs were carried out to investigate conditions encountered during construction. Therefore the reports are presented in somewhat different format than usual without formal contract boring logs or elaborate geologic sections. However,the report is complete with the additional boring logs,the test information and a summary of general conclusions that were made available to the section designer for investigating problems that arose during construction.
