Loran Position Determination in an Urban Environment: A Comparison of Three Techniques

The report documents the evaluation of three commonly used techniques for conversion of Loran time-difference-of-arrival measurements to position estimates. The comparison was designed to determine whether one particular technique was substantially superior with respect to accuracy performance and costs to the others and also attempts to ascertain which technique, if any, might be appropriate for a non-signpost random route application.
