Alternatives for Energy Conservation in Roadway Lighting

摘要

From a review of some of the possible methods of conserving energy in the operation of roadway lighting, it was concluded that the most favorable alternative would be to convert the existing mercury lighting to the more energy-efficient high pressure sodium lighting. With due consideration being given to traffic operations and safety under the current energy situation, other alternatives were reviewed also and placed in order of preference.
