摘要

The report presents summary employment and salary statistics for positions employed on NIH research grants awarded in FY 1976. The data are organized throughout by institute. This report is a supplement to Manpower Report I, published in October 1977, which contained the same data for Fiscal Years 1973, 1974, and 1975. In addition, Tables A through I describe major employment trends for the years FY 1973 - FY 1976. Key variables include occupational category, academic level, field/discipline/specialty, and sex of professional personnel, all furnished by individual institute. Data for total positions and for full time equivalent positions (manyears) are included. A detailed subject index is provided in the appendix to facilitate locating specific data items.
